The mission of the Davison Bruce Foundation is to invest in the mind, body, and spirit of humankind, blessing others that they may bless the world. As a Foundation, we gratefully acknowledge the gift of family and humbly aspire to give generously, in accordance with the example set by our maternal forerunner, Elizabeth Davison Bruce, who has lived her faith and loved in full.
Invest in the mind, the body, and the spirit of humankind, blessing others that they may bless the world.
Lee County CASA also known as ‘court appointed special advocates’ and a program of Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services and the Alabama CASA Network, Inc., provide excellent training and supervision for their volunteers, enabling them to assist the courts and effectively advocate for children in crisis. Lee County CASA’s ‘Keeping Family Connections’ program offers a safe, comfortable, supervised setting for children to interact with their families, increasing the chances that they will be successfully reunited. One of our foundation members felt this work is so important, she trained and continues to serve as a CASA volunteer herself.
We support the foster care ministry of Lifeline Children’s Services, Inc. Lifeline partners with local churches to recruit and train foster families and offers support in their foster care journey as well as continuing education and assistance for those who wish to build permanent families through the foster care process. Lifeline also offers education and support for birth families as they work to reunite with their children. Lifeline Children’s Services programming strives to provide quality foster families for children in need and walks alongside these children as well as both foster and birth families to provide the best possible service to everyone involved.

Meet the latest members of the Homes of Hope for Children family! Homes of Hope has been providing unconditional love and a Christian home to children in crisis throughout Mississippi since the opening of their first home in 2010. The DBF family had a heart for this ministry before they even broke ground on their first building (which is pictured on our homepage). We are thankful for the life-changing work of this organization and the commitment they have made to children in Mississippi.

When Living Hope International, Inc. submitted their grant request to support this children’s home, the Davison Bruce Foundation viewed this as a Homes of Hope for Children in Honduras. We fostered the collaboration of the two organizations so that Living Hope could gain insight from the experience of Homes of Hope. In January 2017, Living Hope opened the doors of its first Children's Home for girls. This home is also featured on our homepage- the building shown with the overshadowing rainbow.

The Just Keep Smiling Foundation provides unprecedented assistance to families with critically ill children, giving them the opportunity to focus on family relationships and caregiving rather than being pulled away by financial demands. The founders of JKS used their own painful stories to build this organization, knowing from experience that this kind of support could not be found anywhere else. We love the relational ministry here as well as their strong fiscal stewardship.
